Update on Good Samaritan Association, Inc.

Franklin Circuit Court entered a judgment and permanent injunction against Good Samaritan Association, Inc., on Oct. 16. The Kentucky Department of Insurance alleges that the company was transacting insurance business in Kentucky without proper authorization.

Judge Roger Crittenden signed the injunction which prohibits Good Samaritan and any person or entity acting in concert with Good Samaritan from doing any insurance business in Kentucky. The judgment allows the Department to return to court for a hearing at a later date to discuss damages.
